Colonial Day Fun

Our 5th graders wrapped up their Social Studies unit with an engaging Colonial Day experience that brought their learning to life! Students rotated through hands-on activities that connected classroom content to the people, places, and experiences they have studied.

Students participated in General Store Math, Vocabulary Quick Draw and S’mores, Cowboy Bingo, Native American activities, making butter, and an Oregon Trail simulation. They also experienced the excitement of Gold Rush Mining on the playground, giving students the opportunity to learn through exploration, problem-solving, and hands-on activities.

A special thank you to our 5th grade teachers for creating such a fun and meaningful way for students to wrap up their Social Studies learning! Our students had a great time while making connections to history that they will remember long after the unit is over.
